Moo Story
I’m an artist, a dayjob butcher, a passionate cook, and a man with a few skin issues and an overworking brain. In art, in butchery, in cooking, in life I try to see that nothing goes to waste.
Tahoe Truckee Tallow was born out of a conversation with a good friend about their skin issues. They were tired of theirs. I was tired of mine. So, I put all my hats together and told my friend, “Let me try to whip something up for you.” Three months later, I had six products backed by passion, momentum, and enthusiastic responses of “F*** yeah, this really works.” Tahoe Truckee found its voice and I listened to what it needed.
From my connections through my job as a butcher, I found tallow rendered from the fat of prime USDA beef sourced from a ranch collective in California. From my love of cooking, I was able to concoct the recipes through many hours of trial and error (and a few bears, third degree burns, and an almost house fire). From my art, I brought in the heart, the soul, the funk to make a buncha products that really means something to the community without wasting a damn thing.

Locals in Incline Village, Kings Beach, Truckee, and Tahoe city get discounted refills when they bring the TT tallow container back. If I haven't said it enough, nothing goes to waste, friends.
